501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Organization

The WFLC is a not for profit organization, classified as a 501 (c) (3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service and was established in 1979 by the United Methodist Women.

Doors Always Open

The WFLC invites you and your church members to visit the Center anytime you are in the area. Please call ahead (843) 479-7991 to schedule a visit so we can answer any questions you might have regarding the Center and its operations.

Donations Welcome

The WFLC currently has a 17 year old bus that is creeping along on life support. We are establishing a special fund so that we can look forward to a day where we can find a replacement. All donations to this project are greatly appreciated. We are located in a very rural part of Marlboro County and rely greatly on our bus for transporting people to and from the Center on a daily basis. See the link below to donate today!

New Program Coordinator

WFLC is pleased to introduce the new program Coordinator at the Center, Mrs. Linda Sanders!!! Come by the Center and see how Mrs. Sanders can help you with your educational needs.

The WFLC website is brand new and we are learning daily, so please be patient as we develop and change the site over time to better reflect the Center and those we serve. Check back often to see those changes and additions.

Help us replace our BUS

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions at the Center. Your generous donation will help us to obtain a new bus as ours is 17 years old and only holds 14 passengers. Our ideal bus would seat 25 passengers.

Some Important Needs of WFLC

Heating & AC Unit

Our facility has some age on it and we now need to replace our 18 year old AC unit for the multipurpose room. The cost will be a little over $5,000.00. Any contributions made toward this will be greatly appreciated.

Building & Flooring

After over 30 years of use we need some new floor covering throughout the Center. The building is in need of painting on the exterior, along with replacing various rotted trim boards.

Paper Products

The WFLC is always in need of paper products such as; toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, and napkins. We can also benefit from school supplies such as: pencils, erasers, copy paper, book bags, color markers, and crayons. Your support allows us to help others in need.
